In last month’s magazine, Revd Barbara pondered on what was the highlight of the previous month had been. A month on, and our celebration of Revd Barbara’s ministry with us and the parish is up there as a highlight!
It was good to welcome so many people, family and friends to celebrate Barbara’s love of God, love of hospitality and love of community! This was clear in her choice of readings and music! And of course, after the service the celebrations continued in the Barnabas Room where refreshments were on offer and cake was served!
There again, the recent Fashion Show hosted by us continues to be a talking point! Congratulations to the brave few who took to the catwalk and to Marie and her team for an enjoyable evening!
Yet, the hustle and bustle of daily life at Saint Faith’s continues! The recent heatwave hasn’t stopped us tidying cupboards, kitchens and gardens! Revd Frances has been quite robust in clearing clutter from wherever it dares to lurk! Our care of the building and garden continues thanks to a dedicated team of helpers.
Welcoming Father Marcus to the parish has been another highlight and cause of much celebration and cake! We enjoyed getting to meet Father Marcus over coffee at our recent Coffee Morning! I hope someone warned him not to beat the Vicar at Skittles later this month!
