Strawberry Tea and Tower Opening
At 1.30pm, various musicians will be performing in the churchyard for free, with a collection in aid of the Music Foundation. At 2.30pm, you can enjoy a Strawberry Tea. Fr Rajiv’s First Eucharist
This will be a very special service as Fr Rajiv presides over the Eucharist for the first time. You are also invited to support him as he is ordained at the Cathedral by Bishop Jonathan on Saturday at 4pm. If you would like to make a donation to an ordination gift for him, please do so in a clearly marked envelope, or by BACS with reference ‘Rajiv’.
An Informal Gathering of the Portsmouth Ecumenical Christian Climate Action Group
The first opportunity for the PECCAG to meet in person since they started working together last July. Boer War Memorial Talk
Join us for a memorial talk, exploring the Boer War. The Organ Project history volunteers have been researching the 1901 pipe organ screen, which was gifted in memory of men lost in the Boer War. Mo’Jive Tea Dance
As part of The Organ Project’s Heritage Dedication Festival, they are hosting an alternative interpretation of the Victorian Tea Dance, taking inspiration from the Mo’Jive dance style. During the Victorian era, dance halls across the country were opened for people to come in, enjoy tea and small sandwiches, and dance to the latest music trends. Come and Sing Festival Choral Evensong
‘Come and Sing’ with us at our Festival Choral Evensong, celebrating the completed restoration of our 1889 pipe organ. Skittles Night
The return of the sporting highlight of the year! An evening at the Maritime Club in Queen Street, including skittles and a meal. Portsmouth Choral Union’s Organ Spectacular
To round off our Heritage Dedication Festival, the Portsmouth Choral Union will be performing an Organ Spectacular Concert, to include Vierne’s Messe Solennelle and Poulenc’s Organ Concerto, performed by Daniel Cook, organist of Durham Cathedral. If you would like to attend, tickets are £15 for adults, or £2 for children and students. They can either be purchased in advance on the Union’s website, or bought at the door with card payments only.

The first recital of The Organ Project’s 2022 series will be given by Adrian Bawtree, Director of Music and organist elect of Rochester Cathedral. FREE entry, no booking required. A Picnic & A Celebration of Cycling, with the Tower Open

Choir Open Evening
St Mary’s Choir is looking for new young singers to join the church choir. If you’re between the ages 7-13, enjoy singing, and would like the experience of singing in the church, finding out more about the choir and meeting other singers then please come along on the day.
