Remembrance Sunday Service at St Wilfrid’s
There will be an act of Remembrance at all 3 churches. These will take place in the context of the Sunday Eucharist.

The story of Cyrus’ defeat of the Babylonians, which ushered in an age of tolerance and freedom, is brought dramatically to life in this baroque masterpiece. Melanie Stephenson (Soprano) Music Foundation Concert at St Mary’s
Melanie Stephenson, Soprano, accompanied by Karen Kingsley on the Piano, perform an afternoon recital of favourite music including Lieder, Operetta and English Art Song. The programme starts with the assertion that the only pure, true love is found in Jesus. There are then songs about finding love on Earth – starting at night (remembering, being tormented, anticipating), and then the daytime (troubles and triumphs). BBC Radio Solent Carol Concert at St Mary’s

Mass & Charity Lunch at St Mary’s
A chance to enjoy a light lunch. The money raised will be used to support the Churches Homeless Action Appeal. The lunch usually consists of soup (with a vegetarian option), a bread and cheese main with a pudding to follow. The cost is £2.50 and includes free entry into a raffle.
Carols and Christmas Music by Porsmouth Choral Union

Nativity Service at St Faith’s
The children retell the Story of Christmas, with carols and candlelight. The service is followed by tea and cakes. Children who wish to take part in the drama should arrive by 3.30pm to get into their costumes.

Choral Evensong for Lent at St Mary’s
A traditional choral service providing the opportunity for space, stillness and reflection in the beautiful space that is St Mary’s, Fratton. For the Love of Portsmouth
An open day at St Mary’s Church to highlight the impact of climate change on the things we cherish. Organised and promoted by St Mary’s Church and Portsmouth Christian Aid Action Group. There will be coffee, refreshments, family-friendly activities, reflections and displays. The tower will be open for the public to climb and enjoy the views. Join us as we show our love for our city and stand up for our joint future.

The Way of the Cross – a Passiontide sequence of Words and Music provided by the St Mary’s Music Foundation. Includes music by J.S. UNFORTUNATELY ROBERT NEW HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THIS CONCERT IS POSTPONED UNTIL WE CAN RE-ARRANGE DATES WITH HIM. Something a little different as part of our 2018 Organ Recital series. Beechwood Opera present ‘Mozart a Return to Opera’ at St Mary’s
Mozart’s obsession with opera pervades all his mature works – especially those included in this concert. Parish Mass at St Mary’s
There is a Mass at St Mary’s for the whole Parish this Sunday to say farewell to Wendy-May as she takes up her curacy in Fareham. There will be no mass at St Faith’s nor at St Wilfrid’s. At noon there is The Great Get Together Picnic in Kingston Rec and celebration of the new play area. It starts with a procession from the Fratton Community Centre.
