PONToon Digital Art Display at St Mary’s
PONToon is an innovative digital projects led by the University of Portsmouth and commissioned by Aspex to upskill women, aged 18-35, with digital skills. Aspex has commissioned artist Linda Mason to plan and deliver an 8 week Digital Arts project for women from migrant backgrounds. This exhibition is a celebration of the women’s achievements and the showcasing of their creative journey into using digital skills to express themselves. St Mary’s Autumn Fayre

Journeys International Weekender in St Mary’s Churchyard
The Journeys Festival International Team are delighted to present the WEEKENDER, a two-day free music and arts festival with family activities and cultural food stalls. The event occurs from noon to 5pm each day.

Fauré Requiem, Choral Requiem Mass for All Souls at St Mary’s
A service at which we remember and pray for those we have loved who have died. At this service the Choir will sing parts of Fauré‘s Requiem.

A chance to raise some funds with Coffee, Chat and Cakes.
Bangers and Mash Quiz Night at St Mary’s

Rest, Reflect and Remember at St Mary’s
You are invited to ‘Rest, Reflect and Remember’ A chance to step back from the routine and rush of life and remember those we have known and loved who have given their lives in warfare, both in the armed forces and on the ’home front’. There will be chance to light a candle, place a named poppy on a Tree of Remembrance and – if you wish – place a copy of a picture of the ones you remember on…
Bereavement Service at St Mary’s
All who have been bereaved are welcome to join us as we remember by name those who have died and bring to God our prayers for them and ourselves. Anthem: Agnus Dei from Fauré’s Requiem.
Mass & Charity Lunch at St Mary’s
A chance to enjoy a light lunch. The money raised will be used to support a charity. The lunch usually consists of soup (with a vegetarian option), a bread and cheese main with a pudding to follow. The cost is £2.50 and includes free entry into a raffle.

There will be an act of Remembrance at all 3 churches. These will take place in the context of the Sunday Eucharist starting at: 9:30am – St Wilfrid’s and St Faith’s. 10:00am – St Mary’s.

Portsmouth Choral Union Concert at St Mary’s
Portsmouth Choral Union with Southern Pro Musica and dancers from the Giselle Academy perform Dona Nobis Pacem by Vaughan Williams, and Eternal Light by Goodall, under the direction of David Gostick. Two Sopranos and a Harp – Music Foundation Concert at St Mary’s
A concert to support the Music foundation. Admission free, with a retiring collection in aid of the St Mary’s Music foundation, which supports young people from the area in developing their musical skills. Concerts lasts about an hour. The Oaker’s Tale – Book Launch at St Mary’s
Join us on the afternoon of Saturday 24 November at 2.30pm for the book launch of ‘The Oakers’ Tale’ written by our very own Helen Evans. Set in Spring, this is the first in a collection of four seasonal books – telling the tales of Treebie adventures, with beautiful illustrations, story related activities and produced in accordance with dyslexia friendly guidelines. Fratton Big Local Festival of Lights at St Mary’s
A procession of lanterns and light in Fratton ending with entertainment in the Church, including a Community Neon Art Installation at the Church. Fratton Big Local helping Fratton to shine. Due to weather conditions meet in St Mary’s Churchyard at 6pm for a procession around the Churchyard.
Spinnaker Chorus presents ‘What the Dickens’ at St Mary’s
