Royal Marines School of Music Concert CANCELLED
This probably won’t come as a huge surprise but the Royal Marines have decided to postpone their concert next week, scheduled for St. Mary’s Church on Thursday 26 March 2020. This is a postponement rather than a cancellation. At some point they plan to perform this concert.

There will be a Parish Eucharist at St Mary’s on Sunday which will also be streamed. Organ Project – John Sharples at St Mary’s
Our 2020 monthly Organ Recital series continues with a recital given by John Sharples (Organist and Choir Trainer). Please do join us for a glass of wine and listen to the fantastic J.W. Walker & Sons pipe organ in St Mary’s Church, Portsea. The recitalist in the organ loft is instantaneously projected onto a large screen which makes for gripping viewing! Donations in aid of The Organ Project (www.theorganproject.org) – c/o St Mary’s Church Music Foundation (registered Charity no. 1020088).
Harvest Choral Evensong
The Choir will also be offering a simple Choral Evensong, and this will be followed by some music using the 2 organs (our main organ that is about to be restored, and its replacement during restoration), finally we will be marking with thanks Father Bob’s 20 years of ministry in the Parish.
